Job summary We are looking to fill two temporary posts 16 hours and 25 hours.
Provide face-to-face contactto all patients and visitors to the practice, reflecting a positive andprofessional image of the organisation.
Support clinicians in ensuring the smooth running of clinics andservices.
Main duties of the job Greet and direct patients and visitors to the practice in a professional and efficient manner.Direct and assist patients to clinics where necessary.Book appointments, take home visits and prescription requests and prioritise emergency requests after liasing with clinical staff.Deal with routine enquiries, forwarding messages and taking appropriate action.Keep patients informed and updated of any changes or delay affecting clinics or appointments.Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.Ensure that an adequate handover is performed to colleagues after each shift to ensure all outstanding jobs are passed overEnsure your working area is left clean and tidy and secured at the end of each dayContribute to scheduling appointments on the clinical system and room availability.Provide cover for colleagues during holiday and sick leave.
Utilise existing IT software (summary builder) and proactively contribute towards the collection of QOF data towards achievement of the GMS contract.Undertake training in line with the development of the post and as agreed with line manager as part of the personal development plan and fully participate in the organisations performance review process on an annual basis.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Education/Qualifications Educated to GCSE level in Maths & English or equivalent Literate and numerate Computer Literate General Essential Able to work as an individual and part of a team Good communication and organisational skills Good time management skills Knowledge of System One Understanding of the need for confidentiality Understanding of NHS organisations.
