Job summary To provide a reception service within Cardiff Health Access Practice (CHAP) which is a Nurse led service providing public health screening and signposting service for asylum seekers and refugees arriving and living in Cardiff.
It also provides a Safe Haven service for patients who have been removed from their GP practice for a period of time for violent or aggressive behaviour.
Duties will include: general reception duties including the booking of appointments and inputting patient information onto the Clinical Patient Information System Maintaining databases and liaising with outside agencies and within the UHB.
Main duties of the job To provide an effective reception/front of house service for CAVHISTo maintain the appointment system.To liaise with the Operational Manager and clinical staff re urgent appointments.To register all newly arrived asylum seekers and make relevant appointments for their initial assessment.To send all relevant data to dispersal areas for patients dispersed out of Cardiff.To transfer out all patients either dispersed to new areas or those moving onto a new GP service.To book (specialist) language interpreters as and when authorised.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
