Job summary An opportunity has arisen to join our growing team at Royal Primary Care and we are looking for enthusiastic Receptionist/Administrator to work within in our busy medical practice within the Heanor area.
This is a temporary 9 months maternity cover as follows 1 x hours per week Main duties of the job o Offer general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective wayo Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the Practice including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the Practice team.

Carry out GP approved triage to ensure our patients see the correct clinician first time.

Person Specification Qualifications and training Essential GCSE Maths & English grade C or above or equivalent Desirable NVQ or equivalent in customer care Formal training in a public facing environment Knowledge of GP computor systems, SystmOne Experience Essential Working with the public, preferably in a Reception environment Basic office procedures Desirable Telephone call handling Experience Skills and Knowledge Essential Good Team working skills Effective time management skills Ability to work independently following verbal or written instructions Desirable Understanding of the issues around Safeguarding Personal Attributes Essential Adaptable to change.
