Responsibilities
To provide support to teachers in the learning and personal development of a specific pupil with complex needs.
You will also be responsible for assisting the learning and personal development of the pupil to whom you are assigned, to enable him/her to make best use of the educational opportunities available to them.

You will be able to demonstrate practical, holistic teaching and be prepared to go above and beyond for the young people you support.
Clarifying and explaining instructionsEnsuring the pupil is able to use equipment and materials providedMotivating and encouraging the pupil(s) as required by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks as appropriate to pupils' needsAssisting in weaker areas, e.g.
speech and language, reading, spelling, numeracy, handwriting/presentation etcUsing praise, commentary and assistance to encourage the pupil to concentrate and stay on taskLiaising with class teacher, Inclusion Manager and other professionals about Education and Health Care Plans (EHCP), contributing to the planning and delivery as appropriateProviding additional nurture to individuals when requested by the class teacher or Inclusion ManagerConsistently and effectively implementing agreed behaviour management strategiesHelping to make appropriate resources to support the pupilSupporting differentiation and feedback to class teacher Requirements:
Level 2 or 3 NCFE CACHE
Knowledge of the National Curriculum (2014) and Development Matters Framework (2021)
Have a flexible, can-do approach
Ensure your CV covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible (all employment breaks must be explained)
Be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and full referencing process
Provide professional references to cover you for at least 12 months within the last 2 years
Have legal right to work in the UK
