We are seeking a mid-level React Native Developer to join our dynamic product team, working on cutting-edge applications across mobile and web. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the technical approach, support best practices, and collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality mobile experiences.
The React Native Developer will be based from any Waracle office (Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow or London) in a hybrid working pattern.
As a React Native Developer, your responsibilities will include:
Develop mobile applications using React Native, working across iOS and Android platforms.Establish development practices in React Native, contributing to efficient workflows and best practices.Work closely with the Lead Developer to guide the team and client with best practices on React Native.Use open-source frameworks to enhance the development and deployment processes.Apply principles from Domain Driven Design (DDD) to create a well-structured, scalable application.Support the selection of and integration of UI Component Libraries as appropriate for the project.Work closely with designers, developers, and product managers as part of a cross-functional team.Develop and manage design systems, component libraries, and tools to ensure consistency across the application.Prioritise accessibility and user experience in all design and development tasks.RequirementsProven experience with React Native, including building apps for iOS, Android and web.Familiarity with open source frameworks such as Expo or similar.Experience in TypeScript and ReactJS.Hands-on experience with system integrations and REST APIs.Ability to adapt to changing requirements in complex environments.Understanding of Domain Driven Design (DDD) principles.Exposure to component libraries such as Tanstack, Gluestack, Native Wind or similar.Prior experience in regulated sectors like financial services is a plus.Knowledge of UX principles and accessibility best practices.Recruitment processThe recruitment process you can expect for this role is an initial call with your dedicated Talent Acquisition Partner who will chat with you about Waracle, what you are looking for in a new position, the salary for the role, notice period and benefits (the important stuff!).
