Position Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic Religious Education Teacher to deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore various religious beliefs, ethical issues, and the role of religion in society, promoting respect and understanding among diverse perspectives.
Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality RE lessons in accordance with the curriculum.
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and resources that cater to diverse learning needs.
Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their potential.
Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages open discussion and critical thinking.
Stay current with developments in the RE curriculum and best teaching practices.
Build strong relationships with students, creating a supportive and trusting atmosphere.
Collaborate with colleagues to promote cross-curricular learning and enhance the student experience.
Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to school initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience: A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) is essential.
A degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience teaching Religious Education at KS3 and KS4 is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of curriculum requirements and assessment strategies.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
