We are seeking a caring and experienced Teaching Assistant to work within a KS1 classroom, providing support to students with additional learning and behavioural needs.

Roles & responsibilities:
Work in partnership with the classroom teacher to develop customised learning tasks for children with special educational needs (SEN).
Build strong connections with all children and adapt communication to their individual comprehension levels.
Collaborate with educators and specialists to implement personalised educational plans.
Contribute to the promotion of an inclusive classroom environment by effectively managing behaviour.
Assist children in improving crucial life skills to foster greater independence.
Monitor and document children progress, allowing for appropriate adjustments in support.

Requirements:
To function effectively as a valued member of the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) team.
Demonstrate the capacity to address intricate and delicate matters with empathy and comprehension.
Possess a solid grasp of the national Key Stage Curriculum.
Show a profound understanding of child development and the learning process.
Either hold an Enhanced DBS check or be prepared to obtain one through Randstad.
Be eligible to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.
Exhibit knowledge of diverse special educational needs and the corresponding strategies for support.
