Salary: £21,000 - £23,000 per annum

Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs?
We are seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming school community in Okehampton.
This full-time, permanent position offers an immediate start and the opportunity to work with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other learning needs, helping them thrive in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities Individualised Support: Provide one-on-one and small-group assistance, helping SEN students engage with lessons and develop important life skills.
IEP Implementation: Assist teachers in delivering and adapting Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to suit the unique needs of each student.
Promoting Positive Behaviour: Foster a positive and structured classroom atmosphere by encouraging constructive behaviour and social skill development.
Monitoring Progress: Observe and document student progress, sharing regular updates with teachers and parents to support their growth and development.
What We're Looking For Experience: Previous experience in SEN support is an advantage, but we welcome candidates with a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
Skills: Strong communication, patience, adaptability, and a nurturing approach to working with children.
Qualifications: GCSE Maths and English proficiency is preferred but not essential for the right candidate.
