We are seeking experienced SEMH Teaching Assistants to join our team on both long-term and supply bases.
This is a chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people who face significant emotional and behavioural challenges.
Be prepared for a rewarding but demanding role:
Expect to work with students who exhibit a wide range of challenging behaviours.
This might include aggression, anxiety, defiance, and difficulty with social interaction.
You'll need a strong understanding of SEMH needs and effective strategies to manage challenging behaviour.
This includes de-escalation techniques, positive reinforcement, and a calm and consistent approach.
Be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment with a high workload.
You'll be supporting students individually and in small groups, often with a focus on emotional regulation, social skills development, and academic support.

We are looking for individuals with:
Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs in a school setting.
You'll need to be able to demonstrate your ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively and build positive relationships with students.
A strong understanding of child development and learning needs, particularly those with SEMH difficulties.
You'll need to be able to adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of each student.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You'll need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Resilience and a positive attitude.
This role requires a strong commitment to supporting students, even when faced with challenging situations.
