Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of autistic adults?
Do you have a caring, patient, and positive attitude, with a desire to support others in developing vital life skills?
If so, we want to hear from you!
About the Role: We are looking for dedicated Support Workers to join a frendly team, working closely with autistic adults to help them develop skills that will enhance their independence, well-being, and social inclusion.
You will provide one-to-one or small group support, both at the adult learning centre and within the local community.
This is a rewarding role where you will play a key part in helping learners achieve their personal goals through tailored learning plans and holistic support.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver personalised care, support, and teaching based on each learner's individual plan.
Plan and lead activities that promote skill development and well-being.
Provide behavioural support to reduce barriers to learning and improve quality of life.
Assist with personal care, ensuring learners maintain hygiene standards, including support with toileting, dressing, and washing.
Help learners participate in social, leisure, and educational activities within the community.
Support learners in accessing employment opportunities.
Promote independence and decision-making, empowering learners to make choices.
Monitor and record learner progress, making adjustments to support when needed.
Administer medication (after training) and handle medical emergencies as required.
Attend relevant training and development sessions to grow your skills and qualifications.

What They're Looking For:
Experience (paid or voluntary) working with adults or young people with disabilities, especially autism.
Comfort in working with adults who may display challenging behaviour and providing personal care when needed.
Calm under pressure with a passion for helping others learn and develop.
Team player who can build strong relationships with learners, staff, and families.
Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE Grade C/4 in Maths and English or equivalent desirable).
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and high standards of care.

Personal Attributes:
Positive, patient, and caring attitude.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Initiative and a desire for continuous personal and professional growth.
Ability to stay organised and manage workloads effectively.
A passion for supporting autistic adults and a willingness to learn more about autism.

If you're someone who enjoys helping others achieve their full potential, thrives in a team environment, and is committed to lifelong learning, then this could be the perfect role for you.
Join this team in making a meaningful impact to their young adult.
