Job description Job responsibilities To assist Radiographer in the imaging room.
Liaise with relevant staff/nurses/Consultants.
To escort patients within the Radiology clinical imaging areas, changing cubicles and examination rooms.
To assist with the moving of beds and wheelchairs and assisting the patient onto the imaging table.
To ensure the continuous flow of patients through the Radiology rooms.
To reassure the patient and provide basic information.
To ensure the relevant documentation follows the patient.
To maintain the tidiness and cleanliness of the examination room.
To maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
To comply with Health and Safety rules, the local rules for the protection of persons against ionising radiation, and the agreed policies and procedures of the Trust.
Person Specification Qualifications Essential GCSE or equivalent English & Mathematics grade D or above NVQ level 2 in Health Care or equivalent Knowledge Essential Hospital environment and medical terminology Understanding of and commitment to confidentiality and data security requirements Skills Essential Patient care skills including a pleasant and professional manner.
Ability to empathise and negotiate Good forward planning and ability to manage and prioritise own workload effectively.
Ability to handle a high volume of work.
