Job summary We are recruiting for a Radiography Assistant who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.The role is patient-focused, service-driven and requires flexibility.
You will ensure patients are made comfortable in waiting areas as well as dealing with their emotional needs by communicating with sensitivity and understanding.You will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to support the provision of a high quality imaging service.The main components of the job will be scheduling appointments for the different types of scans carried out in the Centre: CT, MRI and PET/CT.The role will also include some reception duties.In addition, you will receive a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,314 and a maximum payment of £5,436 per annum pro rata.At the heart of everything we do are our core values:Include,Respect, andImprove.

Main duties of the job Main duties will include:Welcoming patients and visitors into the department.Entering patient appointment dates and times, referral details and any other relevant information regarding the appointment onto the computerised system.Communicating with the colleagues and line manager regarding handover, annual leave and rotas.Liaising with the hospital transport office to ensure patients' hospital transport is arranged for their return journeys.Monitoring usage and re-ordering of supplies.Working closely with radiographers, radiologists and others to ensure smooth running of service, informing relevant staff of any problems, complaints or service issues that may arise.
