The job As part of the Research and Development function, the global Cloud DevOps team combines software development and cloud operations to provide continuous integration and delivery of cloud-enabled products and solutions, along with continuous monitoring to ensure various cloud-specific customer requirements/SLAs are met. As a R&D Cloud Operations Developer, you will be a motivated and talented software developer who will be offered the opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud-based solutions, contributing to the innovation and growth of our product portfolio. As part of the R&D team, you will be at the forefront of developing, testing, and deploying software that drives our cloud infrastructure and services. The global, 24x7 nature of the team means there may be a requirement for occasional work outside of the standard day and to be on call as part of a shared team rota. Key responsibilities Collaborate with the R&D team to design, develop, and implement cloud-native applications and services. Participate in the architecture and development of scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based systems. Assist in writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, with a focus on cloud environment (e.g. Azure and AWS). Work with DevOps tools to manage and monitor cloud infrastructure and application performance. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers. Assist in documenting technical specifications, user guides, and other related materials. Participate in Scrum meetings with other team members including sprint planning and estimating; backlog refinement; daily Scrum meetings; sprint retrospectives and sprint reviews. Ideal experience You have a bachelors degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience in software developer in a commercial cloud development environment. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS. You can demonstrate examples of strong coding skills in multiple languages, one of which one must be C#. Cloud Development Experience with ASP.Net Core, Latest .NET Technologies and microservices is essential. You have a solid understanding of Cloud Service Architecture in Azure; however, any AWS knowledge is also beneficial. Exposure to CI/CD tools and processes in Azure DevOps. Experience of working with containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker is a plus. Exceptional communication skills, working with a broad range of people, including Product Owners, Testers & Product Support across sites. Able to take direction and seek help from senior colleagues. Positive approach to problem solving with a can do attitude. Experience of using Agile methodologies.
