Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities for this Freelance Quantity Surveyor Role:Cost Estimation and Budgeting : Preparing initial cost estimates and developing budgets for construction projects.Cost Planning and Control : Monitoring project costs during construction to avoid over-expenditure and ensuring efficient use of resources.Preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ) : Creating detailed lists of quantities and materials required for a construction project.Tendering and Procurement : Managing the process of selecting contractors, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts.Contract Administration : Overseeing contractual matters, ensuring compliance with terms, managing changes and variations, and resolving disputes.
Key Experience for this Freelance Quantity Surveyor Role: 5+ years' experience within New Build projectsStrong numerical and analytical skills.Understanding of construction methods and materials.Knowledge of contracts, law, and regulations.Proficiency in specialized software (e.g., COIN's software).
