Join Bell Group as a Qualified Quantity Surveyor – Fire South Branch, Plymouth Bell Group is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Fire South team in Plymouth.
If you have a background in construction contracts, passive fire protection, or refurbishment, and you're ready to take on an impactful role in managing the financial and technical aspects of projects, this could be the perfect next step in your career!

Your Role: As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of contracts, from inception through to final accounts.
You will ensure financial control, from procurement to invoicing and payments, while focusing on minimising costs and maximising project value.
You will drive profitability through accurate forecasting, margin improvement, and effective subcontractor management.

Key Responsibilities: - Manage measurement, pricing, and evaluation of tenders
- Take full ownership of projects, ensuring cost control from start to finish
- Identify opportunities to improve margins and manage direct labour costs
- Oversee CVR reporting, forecasting, and sub-contractor accounts
- Submit accurate applications for payment and ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
What We're Looking For: - A professional qualification (HNC/HND/Degree/Diploma) or equivalent
- Previous experience working with bill of quantities, schedules of rates, and design & build contracts
- Strong commercial management and procurement expertise
- Proven ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel
- A collaborative team player with the ability to mentor and support colleagues
