Quantity Surveyor West London £60,000 - £70,000 We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading developer and take a lead in cash management, maximizing value, and controlling costs across project lifecycles.
The ideal candidate will proactively analyse works packages, support production and technical teams, and accurately report on past and projected financials.
This role requires strict adherence to our Quality Management System (ISO9001) and other relevant company protocols to ensure the highest standards of project delivery.
Key Responsibilities: Cash Management & Profit Maximization : Implement strategies to minimize costs and enhance profitability through thorough analysis and strategic planning.
Financial Management : Prepare and submit valuations to optimize cash flow, pursue timely payments, and ensure accurate tracking of subcontractor valuations and payments.
Risk & Scope Management : Collaborate with Production and Technical Leads to identify and address project risks and scope considerations.
Cost Control & Forecasting : Maintain rigorous cost reporting, ensuring accurate past costs and future financial projections.
Procurement & Contract Management : Oversee the placement of subcontractor orders, validate compliance with drawings and employer requirements, and monitor procurement schedules.
Stakeholder Collaboration : Attend design meetings, ensure timely completion of agreed actions, and produce accurate project documents, including cost-value reconciliations and final accounts.
Qualifications and Skills: Degree or higher qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or a related field (HND/HNC Building Studies) Membership or active progression toward MCIOB or RICS is advantageous Strong experience in contract/quantity surveying with a solid commercial background, preferably with contractors or residential developers Comprehensive knowledge of UK building regulations and H&S requirements within the construction sector Skilled in remeasurement for Piling, Groundworks, RC Frame, and Brickwork Exceptional numerical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills Familiarity with compliance procedures, safety policies, and value engineering
