Job Title: Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager Job Summary: Our client, a global food services business seeking a versatile and experienced Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager to join our team.
This role involves managing both the financial aspects and commercial considerations of construction projects.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring cost-effectiveness, contractual compliance, and overall project success.
Responsibilities: 1.
Conduct thorough cost estimation, budgeting, and financial forecasting for construction projects.
2.
Provide expert advice on contractual matters, ensuring adherence to regulations and industry standards.
3.
Manage commercial aspects, including procurement, negotiations, and contract administration.
4.
Collaborate with project teams to establish and monitor project budgets, addressing potential cost overruns.
5.
Conduct risk assessments, value engineering, and cost analysis to optimize project outcomes.
6.
Negotiate and finalise contracts with designers, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
7.
Monitor project progress, providing regular financial reports and ensuring commercial alignment with project goals.
8.
Stay informed about industry trends, changes in legislation, and emerging technologies affecting the EV industry.
Qualifications: 1.
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
2.
In excess of 5 years proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on commercial management .
3.
In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and relevant legal aspects.
4.
Strong proficiency in quantity surveying software, financial modelling, and contract administration.
5.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
6.
Ability to analyse complex data, make informed decisions, and manage competing priorities.
7.
Professional certifications such as R.I.C.S in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management are preferred
