Quality Officer - Pharmacy

HEIW Foundation Pharmacist Team within the Pharmacy Deanery are looking to recruit two Quality officers to lead and retain overall responsibility for the coordination and management of quality management processes and reporting of key performance indicators for the Foundation Pharmacy Programme.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a team that is currently delivering a significant programme of change to Pharmacist education and training in Wales.
Main duties of the jobDevelopment, implementation, and monitoring of key quality management processes within the Foundation Pharmacy Programme.To be the main point of contact and responsible owner for Foundation Pharmacist Programme data and reports on Key performance indicators and quality management processes and reporting.To have overall responsibility for scheduled components of quality management processes being undertaken and updated.To lead on the initial stages of quality management concerns via the responsive or scheduled process.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person SpecificationQualifications and KnowledgeDegree or equivalent experience and level of knowledgeKnowledge of data protection and confidentiality.Recent CPDDemonstrable knowledge of quality management processes and principles.Knowledge & ExperienceExperience of establishing new processes, systems, and procedures.Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.Experience of working with or implementing quality management processes and principles.Experience of reporting Key Performance IndicatorsExperience of interpreting and analysing data.Experience of report writing / presentation of data (verbal and written).Experience of supporting and working on projects.Experience of working in the NHS.SkillsHighly developed interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels.Excellent planning and organisational skillsGood time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.Problem solvingAbility to work autonomously and as part of a team.OtherAmbitious and willingness to learnSelf-motivated and resourceful.Approachable and adaptable.Willingness to travel to venues across WalesRespectful and inclusive approach to all.Welsh Speaker (Level 1) or willingness to work towardsDisclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
