Main duties of the job The successful candidate will have responsibility for the learning disabilities & Autism quality, performance, and oversight of services across the mid and south Essex ICB.This will include the responsibility to interptret and deliver health service policy and strategy, determining priorities and objectives, monitoring process, progress and achievement of priorities in relation toClinical governanceClinical qualityPatient safetyPerformance and practiceThe candidate will contribute to the strategic direction of the ICB in respect of the systems and processes for Quality Outcomes and the management of clinical governance in line with national policy and local requirements, respond to enquiries and provide professional expert advice on dealing with sensitive and contentious issues linked to learning disabilities & autism practice.Provide LD&A clinical and nursing representation on behalf of the ICB at multi-agency meetings / forums as designated by the senior nurse mental health, learning disabilities & autism, to ensure that the patient safety and quality agenda is fully incorporated into these forums.Support the provision of specialist advice to the Director(s) of Nursing, Executive Directors and colleagues on policy development, legislation, and specialist health issues.. The role will contribute towards providing the Integrated Care Board with assurance of providers continuing commitment to a credible and focused quality strategy.
