Our Loughborough based client is recruiting for an experienced Quality Manager to join their team based in Loughborough.
The purpose of the role is to ensure that the quality management (management system and improvement needs) reaches all levels of the company understanding customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes devising and reviewing specifications for products or processes and setting requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers as well as monitoring their compliance.
The successful candidate will have a strong background within heavy manufacturing 5 years experience any level of Spanish language skills would be an added bonus but are by no means essential!
Responsibilities to Include the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System including: The investigation and analysis of the causes of any Nonconformity with the Quality system as well as the resolution of them.
The definition and supervision of the corrective actions necessary.
Develop and supervise the actions established to address risks and opportunities.
The study and analysis of the results of the controls and inspections carried out during the manufacturing and assembly processes in the workshop and the final product.
Prepare and approve the Procedures Instructions and Quality Plans.
Supervise the operation and implementation of the Quality Plans established for certain products.
Manage customer complaints.
Investigate develop and supervise the implementation of possible improvements in the Quality System.
Develop and implement training for the staff that needs it in a workshop for the application of quality instructions.
Perform or manage the calibration or verification of the measurement equipment.
Approve the procedures quality plans and instructions that may be prepared by a technician from the Quality Department or the department affected by said document.
Inform and advise on Quality issues to clients.
Manage and document the management system Edoc.
Register the quality documentation in the Edoc.
Define organize and supervise the activities carried out by the quality technicians in the workshops.
Relationship with other areas that develop activities directly related to the quality of the product or systems.
Carry out evaluations of suppliers of corrugated steel and measuring equipment.
