Quality Manager Key Responsibilities: Strategic Oversight : Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and both customers and suppliers to ensure a clear understanding of quality requirements, issues, and compliance standards.
Interdepartmental Coordination : Collaborate with internal departments such as sales, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, purchasing, and accounting to align and implement customer-specific quality requirements.
Quality Systems Management : Enforce and monitor the adherence to quality standards through the QualityManagement System (QMS), including inspecting workflows, analysing sample inspections, and managing document controls.
Team Leadership : Provide support, coaching, and mentoring to team members to bolster their skills and performance in relation to quality system management.
Customer Relations: Ensure all customer complaints are handled promptly and effectively, maintaining high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
Continuous Improvement : Actively lead and foster continuous improvement efforts focused on enhancing quality and productivity through collaborative problem-solving techniques.
Quality Assurance Processes : Oversee the management and execution of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Control Plans, FMEA, Calibration, Quality Management Systems, and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
Auditing: Coordinate and conduct audits in line with the organization's Audit Timing Plan to meet domestic and international standards such as IATF 16949, ISO14001, and ISO9001.
Problem Resolution: Implement robust root cause analysis and corrective actions using lean methodologies like 8D to mitigate quality issues.
Qualifications: NVQ Level 4/5 in an Automotive context (Desirable) Over 3 years of leadership experience in quality management within the automotive industry.
Experience in plastic injection moulding (Preferred).
In-depth knowledge of IATF 16949 standards.
Skilled in quality system tools including Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean, 5S, and FMEA.
Proven leadership capabilities with effective team management skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and consultation skills.
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Capable of thriving in a high-pressure, fast-paced work environment.
