ROLE SUMMARY We are seeking to recruit a Quality Inspector to join our Manufacturing team.
The successful candidate will be located at our Lisburn facility and will manage will be responsible for monitoring the manufacturing and the assembly processes, ensuring that the products conform to drawing requirements, defined specifications, industry standards and customer expectations.
ROLE DESCRIPTION Perform independent product verification checks to ensure parts, assemblies and finished products conform to drawings and design specifications.
Follow general inspection guidelines and in-process inspections to conduct visual, dimensional, mechanical and functional inspections on materials, parts and assemblies in the manufacturing/assembly shopfloor and in goods inwards.
Ensure quality and delivery targets are achieved and parts/assemblies are processed according to business requirements.
Document and report any defects and/or non-conformances discovered during the inspection and work with production and supporting functions to resolve any issues.
Provide training as required to address deficiencies identified during audits and inspections.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities, focusing on the effectiveness of the in-process quality checks, as well as overall QMS compliance to ISO 9001 requirements.
Continuously monitor quality control procedures to identify opportunities for improvement.
Participate in cross functional teams to identify and troubleshoot quality issues and work with other departments to implement solutions.
Essential Skills Educated to GCSE level, with grade C (or eqivalent) or above in English and Maths and/or a recognised engineering apprenticeship/relevant workshop fabrication experience and/or 1 years experience as an inspector within a manufacturing environment Proven experience to perform inspections using the assembly instructions and engineering drawings Experience of using calibrated inspection measurement tools Possess strong computer skills, including developing documents and reports in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to work independently, or as part of a team, with minimum of supervision.
Must be detail orientated with a logical approach to their work.
Ability to work to strict deadlines Desirable Skills (non-essential) 3 years experience as an inspector preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in volumetric modular manufacturing and/or construction.
