Quality, Health & Safety Manager | Witney | up to £45,000 Our client is a pioneering precision engineering firm, whose products have a global reach.
They are seeking a quality biased Quality, Health and Safety Manager or an engineer who is ready to make the step up.
This is a hands-on role for an SME, with no direct line management but the opportunity to manage the complete function of Quality and H&S, along with being part of the senior management team and have your voice heard, to shape the direction of the business and processes.
The responsibilities of the Quality, Health and Safety Manager include: - Ensure that the processes needed for the Quality Management System (QMS) are established, implemented and maintained.
- Establishing a good dialogue with our customers.
Being the main contact for customer audits, service reviews and any Quality related issues.
- Report to the management on the performance of the QMS and any need for improvement.
- Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the company.
- Work towards accreditation with the external assessment body on all matters related to the accreditation process for ISO Standard.

- Assist the business in achieving and maintaining all aspects of ISO 9001: 2015 - Being the main point of contact for communication and support from the company's Health & Safety Consultants.
- Implementing a year planner to consider everything that needs reviewing under the umbrella of H & S. - Dealing with the processing of Accident Reports in conjunction with the relevant department and recording information on Near Misses.
- Giving feedback on H & S issues to the Management team and encouraging pro-activity amongst the staff and managers.
- Writing up, in conjunction with the Business Manager, any new risk assessments and/or instructions for staff.
Ensuring that everything is correctly documented and full traceability.
The ideal Quality, Health and Safety Manager will possess the following: - Experience of working in a Quality led environment.
- Experience of a manufacturing /production environment ideally engineering.
- In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards or a keen willingness to learn.. - Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000 etc.).
- Conscientious and responsible - A keen eye for detail and a results driven approach.
- Effective communication skills both written and oral.
Hours-8am to 5.30 (Mon to Thurs) 4.30 on Fridays as standard.
This role would suit a Quality Engineer who is looking for a step up into a management role, and someone who has knowledge of Health & Safety procedures.
