Quality Engineer

QUALITY ENGINEER - UP TO £40,000 PA - DARWEN - 12 MONTHS (EXTENDABLE) 4 DAY WEEK - 37 HOURS PER WEEK) - ONSITE ROLE- SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW ONSITE MERITUS are recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join our client in Darwen on exciting composite aerospace programmes.
As a Quality Engineer, you will be critical in overseeing the quality assurance processes, conducting inspections and tests, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Responsibilities Develop and implement robust quality assurance plans and procedures for aerospace products.
Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Analyse test results, identify potential quality issues, and implement corrective actions.
Ensure that all products meet regulatory and internal quality standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to integrate quality controls throughout the product lifecycle.
Conduct supplier audits and work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of quality assurance activities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the quality management system.
Train and mentor production staff on quality standards and procedures.
Skillset/experience required: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in quality engineering within the aerospace industry.
Strong knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations.
Proficiency in quality management systems (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Desirable A Master's degree or relevant certifications is a plus.
