Quality Control Manager

As we continue our journey of growth and expansion to serve the new era of nuclear energy , Boccard, as a leading specialist in engineering, manufacturing, construction and maintenance in the nuclear energy industry, are looking for an experienced QC Manager to lead our Quality Team here at Boccard in Broughton .
The QC Manager will report to the Manufacturing Manager and is responsible for managing and delivering Quality Control inspection and documentation of manufactured goods, ensuring processes are improved and are involved in decision making on quality topics in manufacturing.
They have overall responsibility for the Manufacturing Quality Control Team, ensuring compliance with requirements with focus on improvements & safety.
They ensure the team is trained and SQEP are in-place for each role.
They lead the manufacturing team in delivering LTQRs within the set time frame ensuring Right First-Time.
They work closely with the Project team to establish any support on technical, quality, safety, improvement topics.
Key responsibilities include : Works with Manufacturing Manager to define the required resources and priorities.
Work closely with QHSE Manager and Project Quality Manager to ensure quality manufacturing standards and procedures are followed.
Responsible for the Quality Control Manufacturing Team Will have full autonomy of planning the daily / weekly / monthly department targets in-line with the project demands.
Key requirements: Authentic people leader Extensive and proven previous work experience in a manufacturing or construction environment implementing quality programs Knowledgeable of ISO 9001, ISO 19443 Standards Knowledgeable of Nuclear New Build Requirements Knowledgeable of RCCM and any related requirements Advanced knowledge of modern welding procedures Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a good eye for detail Strong organizational and problem-solving skills based on facts Ability to carry out Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions Advanced knowledge of MS Pack Office (especially Excel) In addition, ideally holds a BS in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Business or related degree with a track record of implementing Lean Manufacturing methodologies and Continuous Improvement.
