A leading business in the food industry who have invested and continue to invest in their business are looking for a new member to join the Technical Team as QA Manager If you are committed to delivering high-quality, safe, and compliant products and enjoy genuinely making a difference and actually seeing that come to fruition it'll be a great position for you This is a crucial role to the business ensuring their standards meet all compliance, quality, and food safety benchmarks.
The QA Manager will oversee the quality assurance and auditing processes for the food manufacturing operations, maintaining and enhancing our Quality Management System (QMS).
In this role you will lead the QA team, conduct internal audits, manage HACCP programs, involved in BRC audits, and oversee investigations of complaints, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and continuous improvement within the production environment.
Key Responsibilities: • Quality Assurance Management: Oversee daily quality assurance operations, ensuring all production meets company and regulatory and food safety standards.
• Audit Leadership: Lead and prepare for BRC, HACCP, GMP and other third party audits, ensuring full compliance with industry standards.
• Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop a team of QA, supporting a high-performance and collaborative environment.
• Quality Management System (QMS): Maintain and continuously improve the QMS, ensuring it aligns with internal and external requirements and best practices.
• Complaints and Investigations: Lead investigations for quality-related complaints and non-conformances, working cross-functionally to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Risk Assessments and HACCP: Oversee and lead HACCP plans, ensuring food safety hazards are effectively managed across production lines.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within QA and auditing functions, enhancing efficiency, quality, and safety.
What do you need?
• Proven experience in a Quality Assurance or similar role within food manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of BRC, HACCP, and quality management systems.
• Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards.
• Demonstrated team management and leadership skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with a proactive approach to quality issues.
• Strong communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
