The Company This iconic company are renowned for their premium branded & own label products, supplying to the major retailers in the UK.
Market leaders in chilled food manufacturing, they are now looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee all aspects relating to the site's safety and hygiene standards, ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality products into the market place.
The Role As a key member of the technical department, you'll lead the QA team and be responsible for: - Assuring the safety, quality and legality of all products through the effective implementation of company policies and customer specifications - Maintain and promote the QA culture through auditing, training and development of the operations team - Managing and encouraging development of the technical assistants, driving improvements in GPTW engagement scores - Leading GMP audits and driving improvements in GMP scores for the site, and supporting BRC audits - Working closely with the Production team to ensure that their requirements are met whilst driving change and performance improvement across the site - Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated by your team and that product deviations are investigated as necessary.
The Candidate Suit a QA Manager or an aspiring QA Supervisor with a food science or technology related degree who is looking for a career development opportunity with an ambitious, supportive and quality driven business.
Experience of working in a fast-paced complex chilled manufacturing environment and understanding the standards of UK retailers is essential.
This is a hands-on role in the factory kitchen so you must thrive in the energy and pace of this style of role, interacting with all departments.
You'll need experience of working with quality systems, implementing procedures and keeping product quality at top of your agenda.
You'll have previously managed a QA team, providing guidance and personal growth opportunities whilst demonstrating excellent leadership skills.
