Quality Assurance Manager

Job Title : Quality and Compliance Manager Location : Kent Salary : £45,000-£55,000 Type : Full-time, Permanent Role Overview : We are looking for a Quality Manager with experience managing a small team or someone ready to step up into this role.
Key Responsibilities : Monitor and report on the Quality Management System (QMS) performance.
Work with managers and staff to ensure the QMS and Food Safety Management System (FSMS) are effective and meet legal and industry standards.
Lead the food safety team, organise training, and manage competencies.
Prepare for and conduct internal audits for ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, GMP, etc.
Oversee supplier management and maintain raw material specifications.
Manage customer quality issues, including complaints and corrective actions.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for risk management and support sustainability initiatives.
Work with the Health & Safety consultant on audits, risk assessments, and incident analysis.
Skills & Experience : Background in quality or compliance within food science or manufacturing.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, BRC, and Kosher standards.
Experience in internal or supplier auditing, HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in IT and document management.
Degree in Food Science or related field; Level 3 in HACCP, Food Safety & Hygiene.
