This role is key to our ambition of ensuring children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) experience services that are impactful, inclusive, and deliver positive outcomes.
How You'll Be Involved As the SEND Quality Assurance Lead, you'll play a critical role in driving high-quality and person-centred outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of a robust quality assurance framework and processes, ensuring consistent and high standards across the SEND & Inclusion Service.
Your work will include developing and managing grouped and themed audit processes, presenting data reports, and creating action plans to address areas for improvement.
This role involves close collaboration with schools, families, and professionals from education, health, and social care to enhance the quality of professional advice and ensure the service meets its statutory requirements.
You'll also stay ahead of national changes, such as updates to the Ofsted local area SEND inspection framework, to ensure the service remains compliant and effective.
By embedding a co-production model with children, families, and key stakeholders, you'll contribute to the continued improvement of services for some of the borough's most vulnerable residents.
All About You You will bring extensive experience in SEND and inclusive practices, including working at a management level in SEND services.
Your understanding of the Children and Families Act 2014, the associated SEND Code of Practice, and the Ofsted local area SEND inspection framework will be essential.
You will also have experience developing and implementing quality assurance processes, creating action plans, and working collaboratively with schools, education professionals, and families.
To thrive in this role, you'll need to be proactive, highly organised, and comfortable working under pressure while juggling competing priorities.
Your ability to present clear and actionable data, alongside your commitment to service improvement, will ensure success in this critical role.
