Alexander Steele are working with a leading food manufacturing business who are going through an exciting period of growth.
They are looking to appoint a Quality Assurance and Technical Manager at their site in Fraserburgh.

The role: Managing the company's quality management system to ensure compliance with standards such as those set by BRC and HACCP procedures on food handling Management of the Quality and Hygiene team Reviewing existing policies and planning how to improve the quality management system Implementing improvements to the system Lead HACCP team, documenting decisions and reviews Representing the business on technical-related matters such as audits Ensuring associated staff are competent to do their jobs Managing company hygiene and quality activities Investigate non conformance's as necessary and follow through on all Corrective actions Liaising closely with company management, customers and suppliers Organise and lead monthly team meetings Monitor and manage costs associated with Technical, eg.
Cleaning chemicals, micro testing etc Trend complaints, micro results etc and communicate information with Management team Conduct Shelf life and Organoleptic testing as per schedule The candidate: At least 3 years experience in a similar role within a chilled / frozen food business A degree in Food Science or similar or equivalent experience Experienced in BRC auditing Holds HACCP and Food Safety level 3 + Good management experience
