Role Overview: The Quality Assurance Specialist will play a key role in ensuring that all fibre network build activities meet the required standards and client specifications. This role involves overseeing quality control processes, conducting inspections, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to ensure project excellence.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations. Review and approve quality control documentation, including test plans, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to address quality issues and implement corrective actions. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and performance. Support the development and implementation of quality management systems and processes. Provide training and guidance to site teams on quality standards and best practices. Liaise with clients and stakeholders to address quality concerns and ensure customer satisfaction. Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience in a quality assurance role within the fibre network, telecoms, or utilities sectors. Strong knowledge of fibre optic construction standards, techniques, and best practices. Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001) and auditing processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail. Relevant qualifications in Quality Management, Telecommunications, or a related field are desirable. A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.
