The service is psychology-led and holds psychologicalassessment and formulation, as well as the Veterans we work with, at the coreof everything it offers.You will be responsible for delivering outcome basedpsychological therapy that is uniquely tailored to meet the needs of Veteransliving in the community.
The service is community based and appointmentsare offered where possible in the Veterans locality as well as remotely viatelephone and video.Given the nature of the client group and the geographical needsof the service, we are looking for a clinician with significant experience intreating complex mental health needs in an autonomous capacity.
Beingable to demonstrate experience in treating trauma and complex mental healthneeds according to evidenced based guidelines is essential, as is experience ofworking with this client group.
Experience of using a range oftherapeutic modalities including CBT, EMDR and Compassion Focused Therapy wouldalso be an advantage.
Equally important would be your ability to workboth autonomously within community based settings, as well as collaborativelywith other teams and professionals.
The ability to consider and findcreative and flexible solutions to engage individuals in psychologicaltreatment is an essential skill in this setting.
You will be able to workindependently, as well as closely and collaboratively with other clinicians inthe team and will be an effective communicator.Within the role, you will be encouraged to develop yourstrengths and skills through a robust structure of clinical supervision andopportunities for professional development.
