REPORTING TO:QHSE Manager RESPONSIBLE FOR: N/A JOB SUMMARY: The QC Engineer is responsible for verifying that all materials, components, and package assemblies comply with project specifications.
MAIN DUTIES OF JOB: Reviewing production documentation such as drawings/datasheets and inspecting the quality of production equipment to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Overseeing the non-conformance and change management process across the entire production cycle from machine shop through to package assembly and testing.
Reviewing project design documentation and monitoring the build processes to ensure we meet project requirements.
Inspecting components, assemblies, and complete packages downstream of machine shop throughout the manufacturing process using contract specific Inspection and Test Plans (I&TP).
Supporting instrumentation and equipment calibration activities.
Completing inspections, assessments and providing documented reports, clearly identifying non-conformance to specifications and drawings.
Supporting machine shop inspections using Faro 3D CMM measuring equipment (in addition to basic mechanical measurement activities).
Supporting painted component inspections including but not limited to paint adhesion, thickness, and quality checks.
Completion of assessments of welded components to assess quality of weld using visual and basic measuring equipment.

PERSON SPECIFICATION Essential or Desirable Education General level of education to GCSE/A-level standard HNC/D in Mechanical Engineering / City & Guilds or similar experience Quality related qualification, CSWIP 3.0, PCN Knowledge and Experience Experience working with industrial processing packages, including piping, pressure vessels, rotating equipment, structures, and electrical/instrumentation.
Experience of working in a Quality Inspection role, ideally in a Manufacturing or Engineering environment, including experience of Metrology / Calibration / FARO Arm CMM.
Knowledge and understanding of a variety of manufacturing processes and ability to evaluate and problem solve.
Understanding and experience in interpreting engineering drawings, certification, specifications & standards requirements.
API, ISO, PED, etc.
