We are looking for a QA Operative to support the operational team in delivering compliance with all site policies, procedures, and protocols at Corsham.
Working Hours: 02:00 pm to 10:00 pm - Monday to Friday The job holder is required to be skilled in the use of the QUOR paperless quality management system and be competent in driving the functionality of QUOR across the production areas.
The QA operative role is responsible for capturing and sharing key performance data to facilitate action plans in continuously improving the business performance, specifically in areas relating to food safety, legality and quality, but also in general business performance relating to yields, efficiency, waste and labour.
The role therefore requires an actively mobile and open verbal and written communicator to all shop floor and site management staff.
Key accountabilities Notify the site raw materials technologist of any non-conforming raw materials Conduct routine calibration / verification checks on key processing equipment Collect routine samples for taste panel, shelf life and laboratory testing against prescribed schedules Conduct routine/ investigative laboratory sample administration tasks, logging samples on the ALSolutions portal and retrieving scheduled reports Actively coach production operatives on food safety and quality performance and compliance Maintain accurately stored archived materials relating to food safety and quality documentation Conduct routine compliance audits for CCP procedures / GMP / glass & hard plastics etc as required by schedules Document internal audit and operational non-conformances for food safety, compliance or quality, issue to relevant parties and ensure full closure of corrective actions by follow up audits Day to day management and supporting the of the site operations team Ensure robust operational deployment of all site technical policies, procedures and quality standards.
Deploy rigorous QA auditing regimes to verify compliance with HACCP, Food Safety & hygiene requirements Investigate internal non-conformances using root cause analysis techniques and ensure that appropriate corrective actions are taken Ensure that QA consumable stocks are ordered and maintained- QAM to be notified appropriately.
Ensure that all QA task related equipment is available and has calibration maintained in line with schedules Ensure the factory is BRC audit, customer visits and 3rd party audits ready at all times.
To create a culture of awareness of, and commitment to the highest standards of quality & food safety and as such they must lead by example, regularly auditing and coaching operations teams.
Must be adaptable to changes in working practices and be able to embrace emerging technology.
The QA operative will be expected to deputise for the QAM on shop floor.
Qualifications L3 Food safety HACCP level 2 JBRP1_UKTJ
