They are now seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist to join their team in Andover, Hampshire.
You will be responsible for the overall purchase ordering as well as building relationships with suppliers.
Purchasing Specialist, the role: Assisting with maintaining stock at agreed levels and preparing and running regular purchasing reports Managing and carrying out tasks for the Group in relation to procurement developing supplier matrix on supplier performance, measuring progress, analysing sales to forecast stock Collaborating with Customers on out-of-stock items and Packing Lists Booking all stock into system and converting back orders Liaising with and building relationships with suppliers (accounts management), transport and Import Agents (including shipping documents) Communicating with warehouse booking lorries, scheduling customer and container deliveries, stock codes, stock re-allocation Working with Sales Team - providing relevant stock information Managing purchasing forecasts Helping Office Manager with all aspects of purchasing (including managing new products, reviewing and streamlining current processes) Carrying out any other purchasing tasks as and if needed Purchasing Specialist, the person: Previous experience in a purchasing role is essential Proficient in MS Excel Good knowledge of ERP systems Highly organised and motivated with outstanding attention to detail Confident in working in a fast-paced environment and adhering to strict deadlines Strong analytical skills Collaborates effectively and works well within a team Purchasing Specialist, the benefits: 23 days of Annual Leave (rising yearly by 1 day to max 25 days p/a) plus Bank Holidays Discretionary Bonus Scheme Healthcare cash plan (Simply Health) Life Assurance - x2 Salary Substantial employee discount Opportunity to work within a flexible environment and friendly team Free onsite parking Access to further training and development Pure Human Resources Limited works in partnership with Alternative Flooring in providing Recruitment support.
