Purchasing Assistant

Thrive Trowbridge are delighted to be working with our client in Trowbridge who are actively seeking to engage a Purchasing Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.
What you will be doing: As Purchasing Assistant, you will take responsibility for a range of purchasing duties and associated administration : Providing support to the purchasing department including managing and developing relationships with suppliers Analysing and reporting on supplier performance Assisting with the planning and purchasing of raw materials Ensuring the delivery of finished goods Providing a high level of customer service to external and internal customers to develop positive working relationships Administrative assistance to the department including pricing queries and invoice checking What you will need to succeed: An organised and self-motivated approach, with good organisational and numeracy skills Previous experience in or a genuine interest in purchasing Commercial acumen and a confident communicator Excellent IT skills including word and excel Experience within manufacturing/distribution beneficial What you will receive in return : To £27,000 DOE Full-time Monday to Friday **Some hybrid available** Generous holiday entitlement Free parking Employee discounts The chance to join a progressive and forward thinking organisation What you need to do next: If this position sounds of interest and you would like to be considered, please contact Sarah at Thrive Group on 01225 632666 or sarah.collins@thrivegroup.
