Key Duties: Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needsResearch potential vendorsLiaise with suppliers to get quotesEvaluate offers from vendors and negotiate best costsPlace orders to support Sales and ProductionTrack orders to ensure timely delivery in line with the needs of the businessResponsible for purchase orders maintenanceNegotiate best value in all transactionsMaintain updated records in company systemBuild and maintain strong relationships internally and externallyProcess suppliers returns About you:Key Competencies: At least 3 years' experience working as a Purchasing Assistant or similar roleGood understanding of supply chain proceduresHands-on experience with purchasing softwareAdvanced knowledge of MS Excel and good general knowledge of MS Office suiteKnowledge of market researchSolid organisational and time management skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsHigh accuracy and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent customer service skillsGood analytical and problem-solving skillsFast learner Benefits: Competitive salary25 days holidayPension scheme Please Note:We are not currently offering sponsorship for this role so you must already possess the right to live and work in the UK in order to be considered.
