The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development.
Position Overview Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams, you will provide targeted support to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain supportive, professional relationships with pupils requiring additional support Design and implement individualised mentoring programs to address specific needs Monitor and track pupil progress, maintaining detailed records of interventions and outcomes Liaise with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure coordinated support Facilitate small group sessions focusing on social skills, confidence building, and emotional resilience Provide guidance and support during challenging transitions or periods of change Implement behaviour management strategies and positive interventions Required Qualifications & Experience Minimum Level 3 qualification in education, youth work, or related field Proven experience working with young people in an educational or support setting Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of SEND and mental health awareness Desired Qualities Patient, approachable, and emotionally intelligent Ability to build trust and rapport with diverse groups of young people Strong organisational and time management skills Flexible and adaptable approach to supporting various needs Commitment to ongoing professional development Benefits: Flexible working hours to fit your schedule.
