Public Relations Executive

Alexander Steele is delighted to announce that we have partnered with a successful and market-leading FMCG brand to find a Corporate PR Executive to join their growing marketing team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible raising the profile and awareness of the business, as well as developing and delivering a proactive PR strategy and activity plan, promoting the brand through all forms of on and off-line media.
Key responsibilities: Develop and implement PR strategies aligned with business and marketing goals.
Coordinate PR activities, including media relations, press releases, interviews, and public speaking events.
Collaborate with Marketing, Ecomms, and Creative teams to ensure consistency in brand messaging and PR efforts.
Advise on handling sensitive public issues and manage stakeholder relationships, including with MPs on industry matters.
Monitor PR campaign performance, set clear KPIs, and prepare reports.
Maintain a PR calendar, manage sponsorship opportunities, and handle organic media coverage.
Develop and manage PR toolkits, best practices, and internal communications across departments.
Work with PR agency to increase brand awareness and industry education.
Prepare for potential PR crises and manage the PR budget.
Experience and skills required: Proven experience as public relations executive or similar role.
Proven experience in coordinating and managing effective PR campaigns through various channels.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable as a public speaker.
Experience in fast paced Marketing/PR team and the ability to manage multiple projects at any one time.
Experience in developing and implementing local and national UK PR campaigns.
Excellent writing skills.
Strong time management skills with a proven ability to prioritise and meet deadline.
Media trained.
Degree in PR, marketing or similar field.
