Central Employment are delighted to be working with an award-winning Integrated Communications and Creative Agency in Manchester, as they look to appoint a client facing PR Account Manager.
PR Account Manager profile: The PR Account Manager is responsible for delivering effective PR strategies for our clients with proven outcomes.
You will be responsible for maintaining our PR efforts.
You will be a strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling, strong communication skills, and a proven track record of securing media coverage and building relationships with key stakeholders.
A positive role model to all members of staff, you will provide support and guidance to juniors as well as helping manage their workload and key responsibilities.
Main Responsibilities as a PR Account Manager: Demonstrate real-time knowledge of all client activities, ensure status documents are updated, run client status meetings, and take ownership for initiatives Organised, punctual and a strong client-lead, you must take pride in developing relevant and engaging content plans, which align to the clients strategy and ensure you are at the forefront of PR Develop, alongside your AD/Comms Director, strategic and tactical client proposals, plans and calendars.
Drive journalist relationship-building initiatives within the team, across your full client portfolio, display an excellent knowledge of the media landscape, develop solid media relationships, and oversee the effective running of your team's entire media relations process.
Write and pitch excellent quality, relevant story angles to targeted media, displaying creativity and an understanding of newsworthiness.
Essential Experience: 4+ years of agency experience in traditional PR and Outreach (digital PR knowledge is desirable but not necessary).
2+ years experience in strategy, budgeting, KPI setting.
Proficiency in B2B and B2C PR.
Experience in client management and campaign execution.
A keen interest in staying updated with the latest news trends.
Team leading and Line Management experience, in anticipation of being a senior member of a growing team.
