Job summary An opportunity has arisen for an exceptional and highly skilled PublicHealth Nursing Service Manager.Working hours per week, the postholder will be accountable for the delivery of high-quality public healthnursing services for Children Young People & Families (CYP&F) throughthe management and deployment of resources within a defined budget whilst building and maintaining importantstakeholder relationships to deliver the best outcomes for children andfamilies.
The postholder willlead on designated projects, ensure recommendations from Child SafeguardingPractice Reviews(CSPRs), near misses, complaints and other incidents areimplemented, deliver the contract and Healthy Child Programme and facilitate cliniciansinvolvement in service planning and decision making.
The role will require strong leadership requiring a strong clinical /professional and operational background.
The post holder will be expected tocommunicate effectively, including highly complex, sensitive or contentiousinformation, to a wide range of potential audiences.Support will be available to the successful post holder to thelp them transition into their new role.
Main duties of the job The Public Health Nursing Service Manager will be responsible for thevisible leadership of the service.
Using their leadership skills, they will be avisible, accessible and professionally influential presence, providingleadership and management.The post holder is accountable for thedirect delivery of the CYP&F PHN service with specific emphasis on thedelivery of the Healthy Child Programme including the five mandated reviews, workingin collaboration with the Team Managers and FNP Supervisor, ensuring it isperson centred, responsive, adaptable and provided according to need andavailable resource.Accountable to the Directorate managerthey will lead on service development and support colleagues to deliver a highquality and effective service, which meets commissioners requirements andpublic expectations.This role may not be eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route, please refer to the Direct Gov website for more information with regards to eligibility.Please note that Livewell may close the job advertisement earlier than the specified deadline if a high number of applications are submitted.

Person Specification Experience Essential Management experience working within Public health nursing at team manager level or above.
Budget management experience including reducing cost, monitoring and determining corrective actions.
Desirable Experience transforming services.
Measurable track record in involving and motivating staff to improve performance.
Proven success at managing organisational change while maintaining service quality.
Experience of developing and maintaining effective partnerships with various stakeholders in the redesign of services.
Experience of managing projects and planning wides-scale change.
