Job Title : PSV/HGV Mechanic/Fitter Location : Kidlington Salary : £40,000 - £45,000 per year, plus company pension and ongoing training.
Job Description : We are seeking a full-time PSV/HGV Mechanic to join our expert maintenance team for our high-demand fleet.
This role is vital to maintaining our top-tier standards for safety, compliance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities : Vehicle Maintenance : Perform scheduled maintenance, servicing, and periodic inspections on coaches and vans.
Repairs & Diagnostics : Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system faults, specifying proper repair methods.
Compliance & MOTs : Prepare vehicles for MOTs, adhering to both company and DVSA standards.
Documentation : Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records in line with regulatory requirements.
Emergency Assistance : Attend on-road breakdowns and perform vehicle road testing as needed.
Experience & Skills Required : Level 3 NVQ in PSV or HGV maintenance, repair, and diagnostics.
Minimum of 5 years experience in mechanical and electrical systems.
Desirable Skills : PSV license and welding experience.
Proven understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
Independent worker with initiative, strong problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude.
Work Hours & Benefits : Full-time, 40hours per week (Mon-Fri) with overtime available.
