Due to expansion we are recruiting for someone with experience as a Property Manager who is looking to transition into a Property Specialist Paralegal to join the 4-strong property team within our client's award-winning Court of Protection department.
About the Court of Protection Team This nationally recognised Court of Protection department is one of the largest and most diversified in the UK.
Specialising in managing the property and financial affairs of vulnerable individuals, the team handles highly varied, complex, and high-value cases, including estates valued at £5-75 million.
This is a fantastic opportunity to transition from the residential property management sector into a legal environment, with full training provided to help you succeed.
This is an extremely rewarding role where you will first hand be able to see the impact your work will make to help your clients with their day to day needs.
About the Role This role is ideal for an experienced property manager with at least 1 year of residential property management experience.
While it is titled as a Paralegal position, the role primarily involves property management skills and responsibilities.
The property team manages around 300 properties on behalf of clients who lack the capacity to handle their own financial and property affairs.
Key Responsibilities: Organising safety inspections, flagging repairs, and arranging remedial works.
Overseeing day-to-day property operations, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Liaising with contractors to organise quotes and repairs promptly.
Ensuring properties are adequately insured and managing claims.
Co-ordinating valuations for property contents and arranging property valuations with local estate agents.
Assisting with the sale of clients' properties.
About You We're looking for a professional, proactive individual with: At least 1 year of experience in residential property management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Confidence in dealing with challenging situations.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
The ability to prioritise tasks and work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong negotiation skills and a professional outlook.
