The Opportunity The Project Support Officer will play a key role in supporting the delivery of projects delivered within David Phillips through supporting the relevant Project managers in the efficient delivery of projects, ensuring QA compliance and coordinating activities across the respective project teams.
The post holder will be required to provide high quality project administrative and delivery support including working with qualitative and qualitative information, analysis and presentation.
The post holder will work across a number of priority areas and will be expected to maintain positive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities Administrative Services: Project Support Officer will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate administrative operations of projects.
Provide appropriate secretariat support at meetings and events.
Organise all employee inductions on site and associated documentation.
Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, reports, Project Databases, systems and correspondence.
Control all Navision data maintenance and ensure Invoices are accurate and submitted on time.
Junior Project Management: To Handle smaller sized projects through to completion both on time and within budget as a first step on your Project Management career pathway Commercial Governance: To work with Project Development team to identify, categorise, and prioritise new projects for a decision by Board on approval.
You will provide this team with any documentation and project cost estimation following the agreed template.
You will provide regular updates on pipeline to the COO.
You will work with the business to create and maintain criteria for the project approval.
Project Planning: Assist in the development of project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Support Project Managers : Assist in organising project activities, coordinating team members, and monitoring progress.
Monitoring Progress: Regularly check on project status, ensuring milestones are met and identifying any potential issues early.
Risk Management: Participate in Risk Assessments, identify risks to project timelines and budgets and work on mitigation strategies.
Client Communication: Maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, updating them on project progress and addressing their concerns.
Day-to-Day Tasks: Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Attend project meetings.
Track project expenses and assist in financial reporting.
Support the Project Managers in problem-solving and decision-making processes.
Update project files with the latest project information.
Assist in preparing project reports.
Qualifications and Experience: Experience: Previous experience in the Property development market would be an advantage.
Education: Degree in Project Management or a related field would be beneficial.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic understanding of construction processes and project management principles.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
