Objective / Purpose of the Job •Receiving and checking purchase order details from customer•Providing exceptional customer service as expected from a Global Freight Forwarder •Liaison / expediting with suppliers regarding goods readiness dates/terms of sale•Arranging collections and deliveries•Arrange packing of cargo as required•Requesting/receiving/checking export documents from suppliers•Consolidation of cargo for export by all transport Modes•Booking space with carriers•Completing export / import documentation •Maintaining/updating in house & external bespoke IT track and trace systems•Other duties as required and commensurate with the position Key Activities / Accountabilities •Close and high quality liaison with customer, suppliers and packers•Close working relationship with Geodis UK offices and warehouse colleagues•Good interface with other Geodis operations worldwide as required•Maintenance of IT track and trace systems•Maintenance of external internet portals •Solve in a proactive manner any operational disputes with customers and Geodis offices and agents worldwide•Invoicing: Target levels are met•Accurate accruals for cost and Income.
