As a Programme Manager you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students by:Co-ordinating the delivery of a transition to work Supported Internship programme based at Bedford Borough Council in partnership with Project Search, Bedford Borough Council and Mencap, for young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilitiesSecuring appropriate rotations within the host business in line with students interests and skillsDelivering an employability curriculum which embeds English and MathsWorking with Bedford Borough Council and Project Search to secure successful outcomes for all students at the end of their programmeIdentifying internship sites within Bedford Borough Council so that students can participate in a variety of work experiences to build marketable, competitive skills that can lead to paid employment.Developing opportunities that will increase job specific skills, work quality and productivityPlanning with students, families and support services to determine career interests, specific job preferences (hours, location etc.
), skills and abilities to develop an individualised approach to employment.
Including completion of annual reviews.Performing specific workplace analysis, job analysis, task analysis, and job matching activities to support and develop appropriate placements.Delivering employability skills such as communication, problem solving, teamwork, grooming, budgeting and self-advocacy.About you:Educated to Level 3 (A level or equivalent) standardGCSE Maths and English (grades A – C) or equivalentWillingness to work towards a Certificate in Education.Experience of teaching or supporting students in an educational settingExperience of working with students with a range of learning difficulties and/or disabilitiesExperience of supporting or delivering work preparation skillsKnowledge of supported employment for students with a range of learning difficulties and/or disabilities
