Project Quantity Surveyor - Risley Marlowe Fire & Security are the fastest growing fire & security business in the UK.
From initial design, supply and installation, through to ongoing maintenance and monitoring, we maintain the capability to help prevent, detect and monitor Fire and Security risks for our customers up and down the country.
We are currently looking to appoint a new Project Quantity Surveyor based out of our Risley offices.
Basic Salary – upto £55,000 per annum Vehicle or Vehicle Allowance – subject to candidate preference Pension, Life Assurance & much more.
– Please see our generous remuneration packages below Marlowe Fire & Security's Project Quantity Surveyor's Support the Project Department in the delivery of assigned Installations across the UK always ensuring a high standard and professional service.
Co-ordinating with the purchasing / engineering teams and client to ensure projects are completed within the time frame allocated, and to assist other Project Mangers in their day-to-day tasks as and when required.
To Develop and grow the commercial awareness, support with valuations, variations, prolongation claims, to carry out negotiations with subcontractors/Suppliers to protect the business Pre-contract commercial support to Project Managers in establishing contract administration governance and programme development on specific projects during the construction phase.
Cost, value and cash flow forecasting of assigned projects  Providing continual monitoring, auditing and review of work in progress projects and assisting with monthly commercial and programme reporting Identifying variations to the design, specification and programme of the construction works and preparation of variation claims to clients Interim valuations and applications for payment Value engineering of projects both pre and post contract award Identification of project risk and development of risk mitigation strategies Assistance to Project Managers on cost/value reporting, programme and financial forecasting Selecting and/or sourcing construction materials Sourcing, development, negotiation and drafting of subcontractor packages Assessing subcontractor claims and their validation Assisting with post project appraisals, identifying overspends and margin movement Certifying payments to subcontractors Liaising with client and engineering teams and sub-contractors monitoring key stage performance To attend site meetings when required Preparation and negotiation of final accounts with clients Leading on dispute resolution with clients and subcontractors Requirements Who We're Looking For Marlowe Fire & Security consider our people our greatest asset.
