Project Manager Innovation (and Supply Chain)Job Title: Project Manager – NPD Innovation (& Supply Chain Support)Department: NPD InnovationReports to: Head of R&DJob Type: Full-TimeRole OverviewThe Project Manager – Innovation will lead high priority, cross functional, complexpieces of innovation work across the business.
They are responsible for supporting theMedical Nutrition Managers in driving innovation opportunities forward from beingconceptual ideas to functional trials and eventually through to launch.As project expert you must be to be able to mobilise and run virtual teams acrossbusiness functions and respond to challenges.
This role presents an opportunity towork directly with departments across all functions.
There are multiple opportunities inplay and a shifting focus as one piece of work is completed and another starts, or oneproject might shift to adjust to external demands or priorities.This role will support the New Product Development (NPD) Innovation team (and theSupply Chain team) in driving projects from concept through to launch, ensuringseamless coordination, timely delivery, and alignment with strategic business goals.Roles and Responsibilities:• Define and scope the projects / programmes you lead, establishing cleardirection and alignment by ensuring a clear vision, objectives and plan are inplace• Working alongside relevant team players, construct business cases tounderstand the potential future benefit of innovation opportunities• Mobilise cross functional project /programme teams and establish and embedways of working• Establish and facilitate the appropriate levels of governance to provide oversightand direction for the projects/programmes• Engage and align colleagues across all levels to deliver• Manage interdependencies and impacts across projects / programmes• Drive progress in a consistent, transparent way, and to identify and manageissues and risks, and opportunities• Support subject matter expertise and development both within the team andacross the wider company.• Lead cross-functionally to deliver NPD projects (and supply chain) initiatives ontime and within budget.• Use the relevant project tools or platforms to develop comprehensive projectplans, timelines, and milestones to track progress and identify potential risk.• Monitor project status, manage resources, and ensure that all stakeholders arekept informed.• Act as the central point of contact for all Innovation (/Supply Chain) projectrelatedcommunication between the NPD Innovation, Supply Chain, Finance,Internal Ops and Market Engagement teams.• follow a standard process, as defined by a professional project managementorganisation,• initiate the project - check feasibility and work out budgets, teams and resources• carry out planning - this will include setting goals and objectives, defining rolesand producing schedules and timelines for tasks - in accordance with the needsof your division.• manage the project - which includes coordinating the project team to keep themon track and keeping the project on budget• carry out monitoring and control activities in order to track the progress of theproject• identify and manage risks to ensure delivery is on time• implement any necessary changes throughout the process• report regularly to management and the team• close the project - including evaluating successes and challenges to enhancelearning for the next innovation (supply chain) project.• Identify potential project risks and devise mitigation strategies to minimizeimpact.• Address issues promptly and provide solutions to keep projects on track.• Oversee project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines andidentifying cost-saving opportunities• Maintain accurate project documentation, including project charters, timelines,status reports, and meeting notes• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance eUiciency inNPD and supply chain operations.• Any other tasks as may be relevant to this roleRequirements:• BA or Diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, Project Management ora related field.
An MBA or PMP certification is preferred.• Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management, preferably within thehealthcare, medical nutrition, or FMCG sectors.• Strong project management skills, including planning, organisation, andattention to detail.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Trello, Asana)ClickUp is preferred.• Proficiency across Agile and Waterfall methods.• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.• Knowledge of medical product development and supply chain processes ishighly desirable.• Solid track record of delivering projects / programmes, and working crossfunctionally• Experience of managing project teams, and building and maintaining positiverelationships with a broad group of colleagues• Experience influencing senior colleagues, facilitating governance sessions andconfidently engaging senior business leaders and the wider team• Ability to embrace opportunities and flexing to meet internal and externalpriorities, relishing the opportunity to bring clarity for cohesive crossdepartmental collaboration.• Ability to look for opportunities to take accountability, make decisions and driveprogress• Able to work as part of a motivated, enthusiastic team and contributing tobuilding a high performing team culture• Professional, Friendly, Collaborative• IT Literate across Microsoft 365 and TEAMS• Sleeves-rolled-up, can-do attitude• Entrepreneurial mindset• Solutions orientated• Self-motivated and decisiveHow to Apply:If you fit the above criteria and would like to be part of a dynamic team of skilled professionals, please submit your application.
