Project Manager (Portfolio Support)

The Position The Project Manager is a key technical role providing support on our RES O&M portfolio.
The overall purpose is to take ownership of the planning, organisation, and delivery of various upgrade projects on our customers' solar farms across UK&I.
These projects cover a range of areas including electrical, civil, and grounds improvement works, in order to improve the safety, efficiency, and performance of the plants following our onboarding of these sites.
The role will be primarily office/home-based with site attendance to support and supervise the delivery of these projects where required.
Occasional travel outside of the country for training courses, conferences, and meetings in our global offices may also be required.
Some work outside standard office hours may be required when necessary to support the service.Key Accountabilities-Plan, manage, supervise, and deliver upgrade projects on our portfolio of solar farms under O&M.-Manage relationships with suppliers and contractors to deliver the projects successfully.-Provide project quotations to the customer and ensure project budgets are kept on track.-Manage contractor quality and health & safety on-site, including audits, supervision, and post-works completion surveys.-Review contractor documentation and RAMS, checking scope and methodology, and ensure compliance with documentation.-Communicate regularly with customers to update them on progress.-Prepare and issue reports to customers to close out projects and enable invoicing.-Work closely with regional operations teams to ensure schedules are communicated.-Monitor and report health & safety statistics and incidents in line with RES processes.-Assist and support with incident investigation where required.
-Support other RES departments as required.-Any other duties in relation to project work as required by the business needs.Knowledge -Knowledge of CDM regulations and construction practices -Knowledge of key HSE legislation and guidance Skills -Excellent communication skills, fluent written and spoken English-Organisational and project management skills-Good Microsoft Office and IT skills -Strong attention to detail-Willingness to learn and provide support to othersExperience -Experience managing a programme of project work and a track record of successful delivery-Experience managing and supervising contractors -Experience working on solar farms is an advantage although a background in civils, forestry, agriculture, or construction will also be considered.Qualifications-Full UK driving licence (essential)-Relevant safety qualifications such as IOSH or SMSTS (desirable)-Any plant and machinery tickets or training is a bonus but not essential.
