The Role: Join us in this important, challenging role and you'll be a key member of our Property Services team as you manage a portfolio of individual contracts and call off projects from our procured contractor and consultants frameworks.
These sit within the current budget of around £50m (for the next three years) for the Capital, Cyclical and M&E works programmes.
From inception to final account, you'll be responsible for between £5 – £15 million per year as you deliver building projects within the Council's capital programme, and contribute to the development, management and monitoring of the projects, ensuring that delivery is on time, within budget and represents good value for money.

About You: With a relevant professional qualification such as RICS/CIOB or equivalent working experience, and a project management qualification, you'll have practical knowledge of contract management and procurement.
It's essential that you possess operational experience of carrying out major works schemes within public sector housing or a similar environment, an awareness of retrofitting and PAS 2035, and the ability to manage a minimum of £5 million per year.
You'll be meeting with our residents and other stakeholders, receiving feedback about the work we're doing and updating them on progress, so you'll have inspirational communication skills, and the ability to interact and engage with tact and diplomacy.
With experience of reviewing specifications and designs, and of challenging consultants and contractors, you'll have the skills to produce feasibility reports and use your engagement and consultation skills to achieve your objectives.
